Hi! I’m Brooke.

A homeschool mom of three boys — ages 3, 6, and 8. Before I found my true calling in perinatal support, a majority of my career was spent in strategic business ops with some time as a classroom teacher. I am a full spectrum doula with a deep passion for walking alongside families through every chapter of their journey, from the excitement of new beginnings to the most tender and difficult moments in between.

I completed my initial doula certification with Bebo Mia in 2021, and after spending a year of working with families, I stepped back to welcome my third baby into the world. Now that he is almost four, I am back — more grounded, more purposeful, and more passionate than ever. At the heart of my return is a calling to walk alongside families to dismantle the ‘perfect birth’ — those that begin in the NICU, take unexpected turns, or end in loss. I know how disorienting it is to become a new family inside a hospital system that was never designed with grief or uncertainty at its center.

I am a true advocate for birthing persons, their families, and the right to informed choice. I believes that regardless of the choice families make — pain medication, epidural, scheduled c-section, home birth, bottle feeding, chest-feeding, sleep training, etc. — every family deserves a judgment-free zone to bond with their baby in their own way. I am passionate about helping families navigate birth and the fourth trimester with support and structure catered to their unique needs. I enjoy working with families of diverse backgrounds, taking the time to truly understand the needs specific to one’s history, culture, or identity. I believe deeply in the power of community, the village it takes to navigate life’s toughest moments.

I am currently pursuing my MSW at UNC, with a long-term vision of creating a pediatric palliative care center — a space where families facing the unimaginable loss of a child can find the resources and support they need. While I love supporting all birth and postpartum experiences, my true passion lies in the un-planned, in-between — those families navigating the NICU or the loss of an infant. I am dedicated to creating spaces where these families can hold both the joy and the complex grief that follows.
